It’s off the ground! Also, I discovered a hill to climb near my house. This is a “maintained” road:

Kinja put the picture that is supposed to go here up top.

Also, as usual the picture did not capture the actual steepness of the road, but trust me that at the very least you would want a truck to take the road. Or rally car.

Have you done some sort of an oppo review on this? They look pretty capable with limited(?) mods from what it looks like to me... Wheels, tires, and some kind of lift, is it a body lift or some sort of kit? I’ve helped “acquaintances” of mine lift their trucks (the wrong way) by just using longer shackles and blocks, but the front suspension in this is IFS, so I’m not sure how that would be accomplished.. You’re pretty lucky to have stuff like that to play on near you, because where I love (CT) it’s basically old logging trails, current logging trails, and the occasional dirt parking lot, when it rains, unless I want to drive all the way to Cape Cod, which has some awesome trails around the Otis Air Force base, that are really, really good, but it’s almost three hours away. No plans to buy one really, because I’m putting a junkyard motor in my Exploder a few weekends from now so it can resume its status as my “general beater 4x4/winter daily”, but I’m curious as to how you like your “slowrunner”. It seems pretty cool and like it has been pretty reliable for you thus far.

It’s pretty capable for what I put it through, but it needs a few things to really make it where I realistically want it to be. Most of what is near my house is pretty similar to what you’ve described, this is just one ledge on the side of the road. There is at least one off road park within an hour of me, but I’ve never been. The lift is a 4 inch Pro Comp, all suspension, so tire and ground clearance is more than enough. Reliability comes with an asterisk, though. If you know that you will in fact have to replace the headgaskets, it’s extremely reliable other than that one thing. Other than the gaskets and a couple of wear items, I’ve had no problems in the 4 years I’ve owned it. I love the thing. When I lived in PA it made an awesome winter truck as well. It is terribly slow and awful in gas though.

I do have a review on it somewhere though.

“Awful on gas”

*chuckles*

My Exploder got 12/13 and the Cadillac I’m dd’ing at the moment gets ~10

I've got 4 to a tank on the road before. Usual average is around 11-12 in something that takes nearly 20 seconds to get to 60.
